Kumiko – KS 234

A single cross motif unfolds in regular stitches across the entire surface of a beautiful cotton canvas in selected colors. This adds depth and contrast to the delicate embroidery.

The meticulous, carefully arranged stitches are composed of a colored thread and a metallic thread, reminiscent of the refined art of Kumiko.
This woodworking technique, unique in Japan, involves assembling very thin pieces of wood to create large panels with openwork and geometric motifs.

The precious, couture feel of this surprising embroidered trellis effect is enhanced tenfold by colors inspired by shades of lacquer, gilding, rare woods and hard stones.
